Overview

Develops new markets for hardwood lumber on a domestic basis. Identifies specific market and account opportunities, develops and executes selling plans to focus on targeted markets and accounts. Develops a full understanding of current marketing programs. Works with Sales Manager to establish and prioritize a list of target accounts. Maintains and grows existing and new customer base. Coordinates sales information between sales office and lumber yard. Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates personal sales goals and objectives. Influences and manages positive customer relationships. Sales/tradeshow trips – Travel can be up to 25-30%.

Required Skills: 2- 5 years of sales experience required. Experience in the Hardwood Lumber Industry, a plus. Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, both written and oral. Demonstrated record of success in a goal-oriented, highly accountable environment. Outstanding relationship skills with the ability to build rapport and trust. Must have strong time management and organizational skills; candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressured, evolving environment. Travel required.
